I believe that any person who has diabetes should automatically be a member of this organization because they have the disease. But, when I called to become a member, they wanted a membership fee. When I told them I lived on a very fixed income and cannot afford that, they basically told me that I can't become a member. Well, I think that is wrong. If someone needs the services, regardless of income, they should be allowed. I cannot believe they "discarded" me like that. To me the ADA is like the AMA...
