How much money on average is spent on treatment for diabetes?

The only information I could find was on this website.

There are a lot of variables to consider though such as whether a person has type 1 or type 2 diabetes, how well their diabetes is under control, insurance coverage, etc. Our son has type 1 diabetes and even with insurance coverage the costs can be very high…but it’s definitely money well spent.
