My daughter recently was admitted to the hospital ,and doctor told me that she was diagonized with Diabetes 1 , so i was wondering if there is any treatment that can cure my daughter? thank you.
My daughter is 7 years old
Diabetes 1 results from the inability of the body to produce insulin. Insulin is necessary for the body to be able to use and regulate sugar. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for diabetes 1. However, the treatment available today is great, and prognosis for people living with Diabetes 1 is very positive. Diabetes 1 is serious, but people with diabetes can live long, healthy, happy lives. I came from a family that all has biabetes. From my experience and understandings, a healty diet and over all healthy life can help treat this. There is no cure now, but we are all crossing our funfers that there will be one soon.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter’s diagnoses, it’s going to take a lot of work for your family but you will get the hang of things. There is no cure for Type I diabetes. Your daughter will be on insulin shots everyday from here on out. Later when she is more accustomed to treating herself she may want to look into getting the pump. If you haven’t already the FIRST thing you need to do is get your daughter to a specialist, an Endocrinologist (diabetes doctor). Often primary care physicians try to manage their patients with diabetes but they are not trained to do so and a specialist is the best way to go. An Endocrinologist will also get you set up with a dietitian. I recommend you do some research on some reputable sites and get with an endocrinologist to explain everything to you. Best of luck to you and your family. If you have any questions feel free to email me, I have done extensive research and if I don’t know the answer I can find out. I go to all my husbands appointments and do a lot of reading on the subject.

There is no cure for diabetes but a good regiment of medication, diet, and excercise can allow one to live a great life with diabetes. Diabetes is when the receptor sites on the cells membrane are damaged and insulin can no longer be detected by the cell. This is why insulin injections will be necessary throughout your daughters life.
It is vital to maintain the lifestyle of a diabetic. Being irresponsible could cause amputation of the feet and eyes.

Diabetes type 1 is Juvenile onset Diabetes. It is treated with diet and insulin. The dose of insulin will have to be determined. The diet is important, very important. Good Luck and God Bless you and your daughter in dealing with this problem.

There has been some success with diabetics, when they drink limu moui, it is a health drink. The people I know of have lowered their insulin intake dramatically. They feel better and swear that it was a godsend as it helped many other ailments.

I would strongly recommend checking out insulin pump therapy. I am Type 1, was diagnosed at 17, and have had an insulin pump for 8 years. Life is so much easier, and it is like night and day when compared to multiple injections. Read all you can, and talk to other pump users.

There is no cure for type I diabetes, but there is treatment. Daily insulin shots, a somewhat controlled diet (certain number of carbohydrates per meal), and homeblood sugar tests should keep her diabetes in control (assuming she wants to control it… I’ve seventeen, and I just leave my diabetes alone most of the time).
However, you can volunteer with Juvinille Diabetes Reasearch Foundation (http:///www.jdrf.org), which is an amazing orginization looking for a prevention/cure for type I diabetes.

The best NATURAL answer to Diabetes is Bitter Melon.
This vegetable is available in all Philipino markets. I think some Indian grocery shops also have this vegetable.
Wash the vegetable and eat it raw – about half the vegetable per day and check your sugar level after about 4 days – you will see the difference. Of course I must warn you that the taste of it is very unpleasant. Once you know that it is good for you you will come to like it.
I know a person who was injecting insulin daily stopped it after his wife started to crush the vegetable and made him to drink a half cup of this juice daily.
Of course you have to have it raw. Boiling it or cooking it and eating it will have no results. I do not know how well your 7 year old will take it.
If you get good results post it as a question in this section so that others will know the value of this vegetable.

As of right now there is no "cure" for diabetes. research is constantly being done to reach that goal however. All of us who have this disease hope it will happen soon. Your daughter can lead a normal life, though. I was diagnosed when I was 3, I am now 36.
