Diabetes 2 your body does not produce enough insulin so treatment is aimed at helping your body control sugar ... start by controlling diet, then add oral hypoglycemics (metformin, glyburide, avandia etc...) and insulin only if necessary. HbAic test to see wether treatment is helping with longterm sugar control.
